Discover Italy with Mirfield College - Bay of Naples & Mount Vesuvius 2026
Mirfield College is excited to announce an unforgettable trip to Italy’s Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius, taking place in July 2026 with World Challenge.
Open to all students at the end of Year 12, this cultural adventure includes a guided walk up Mount Vesuvius, tours of Pompeii and Herculaneum, pizza-making and gelato-tasting workshops, and much more. Flights, accommodation, breakfasts, evening meals, and in-country transport are all included.
This exciting trip a brilliant way to discover Italian history, geography, and culture, but offers so much more than just travel – it’s a chance to build friendships with other students, whilst developing your independence and confidence. Whether you’re studying sciences, the arts, or anything in between, the trip will help you connect with others in a fun and relaxed environment.

- Guided tour of Pompeii – walk through the streets of one of the world’s best-preserved ancient cities
- Explore Herculaneum – discover another historic Roman town buried by Mount Vesuvius
- Pizza-making workshop – learn from local chefs and taste your own creation
