Student Leadership

Our Student Leadership structure provides students with many opportunities to develop their leadership skills within the college environment. Each year we appoint a Student Head of College and two Deputy Heads of College. Each of the three student leaders are responsible for a success pillar within the College.
The Senior Student Leadership team have a number of different duties to support their fellow students and the College staff team. Some of these duties include supporting and raising students’ outcomes, supporting students’ wellbeing/mental health and generating ideas for our enrichment programme.
We have a number of additional student leaders who contribute to the leadership of the College and also support across the wider school community.

Message from Ellie, Student Head of College 2022-23

‘Being a part of the Student Leadership Team is an excellent way to gain the skills and qualities that are very much needed throughout life. You will encounter essential opportunities such as public speaking and event making to develop yourself not only as a student but also as a member of the community. Having responsibilities of which include helping the students within lower school, not just college, builds confidence and self-belief with those that you may not know.
‘There would be a hardworking team surrounding you that are there to depend on and cooperate with professionally to achieve what you all believe is the best outcome together. Great relationships are shaped with people you might never even meet outside of Student Leadership. It allows you to meet new people and experience new situations that are outside your own comfort zone, pushing you further and harder into circumstances that may seem difficult and complex; however, if there ever is moment you feel uncomfortable, your team of both students and staff are there to support you to ensure that no task is impossible.’
