Employability Project

All Mirfield College students take part in our very successful Employability Project. Hours spent working on the project are recorded and students receive a certificate upon completion of all tasks and activities.
Our Employability Project aims to prepare students for life beyond College, building the confidence and skills that they will need for success at university and in the world of work. The Employability Project includes:
  • CV workshops
  • UCAS application support
  • Mock interviews
  • External employer visits to meet and speak with students
  • Careers advice on apprenticeships and degree apprenticeships
  • Tutorials on professional workplace behaviours and etiquette
  • Importance of behaving appropriately on social media
  • Team building with the British Army
  • Soft skills developed through 121s
